Growing Up

Kaleb is now officially big enough for a front-facing car seat. YAY! He is really enjoying being able to see out the front of the car. He is also enjoying getting into everything at home. He got quiet last week and this is where I found him.

He was trapped under a chair under the kitchen table. I got him out, but not before I had a good laugh and got a picture!

Feeling Accomplished

My aunt has been in town this week from Florida, so I asked her to help me with something I've been wanting to learn for probably 10 year..how to make biscuits like my Granny did. Granny died before she got to teach me and I knew my aunt makes em just like she did. I was so excited. Aunt Joyce doesn't measure anything (like most people who know the recipe by heart), but i got her to improvise to help me out. I must say that the biscuits turned out great & I'm so excited to make them again. There's nothing like a homemade biscuit, butter, and some peach preserves! YUM! boy does it bring back memories too. I remember spending so much time at Granny's house helping her cook. I miss those days!

Things are a changing..

I'm sitting here tonight watching my hubby & son playing in the floor. I'm pondering how much my son has changed in just the last few weeks and the milestones that we're accomplishing. He had his first haircut, started crawling (and getting into everything), had his first birthday & first birthday party, and he can now move to a big boy car seat & face forward. I can hardly believe that this time last year we had only been home from the hospital for a few days. Oh how time flies! I sure am enjoying these changes, I just don't want him to grow up sooooo fast.

Blogging

So, I thought I might try this blogging thing. I love the idea of getting to share pics of Kaleb and information about him growing up. I can't believe that my baby is already 1 year old. This is him after his first haircut. Isn't he a cutie?? Time flies by and these are the days!
